Work with current and former police officers to perform traffic stops and learn to cuff and take down unruly suspects

Maneuver as a team to defeat terrorists, search the campus for perpetrators, and expand knowledge of the law

Visit a 911 call center and the county jail, participate in a student organization, and travel for competitions
Advanced studies students from Public Safety, Forensic Science, or Emergency
Medical Concepts will have the opportunity to participate in the Fire Academy.

911 Telecommunications

Gain hands-on training in emergency call-taking protocols, CAD systems, radio communication, and multitasking under pressure.

Build skills in crisis management, stress control, and ethical/legal responsibilities for emergency services.

Learn directly from guest speakers in law enforcement, fire, and EMS, plus field trips to local dispatch centers.

Prepare for immediate workforce entry or advanced training with a strong foundation in the 911 dispatcher’s role.
